damn ex boyfriends why do you have to burn down building because we have problems!!!!!!!!

i have been to henryton plenty of times now and the building not even the stories have made me want to come back for more its can be a little creepy at first though

of course theirs going to be some dead bodies around their just not always human

i would love to live there henryton is a beautiful place

im surpirized that theres no pics on the roof. the roof is the best place. you can feel everything for up high you feel despire and sadness its wrong to say but its an amazing feeling

How do we know if it was one of the people who visited this place?

went there a few days ago with a friend of mine. We got into one building but it was really trashed inside. The sun was going down and we didn't get to see much. I did see a few old patient charts with pictures on them, which were really neat. I also found some old boxes of magazines and clothing. It's like the place that time forgot. There was a raccoon hanging out of one of the third floor windows giving us dirty looks and that was the scariest thing that took place. Also it looks like people party/squat there. I was afraid of running into a crack head or a homeless person but I def have the itch to go back again!

I'm actually going there tomorrow, but the pictures help me not freak out as much as I did yesterday when all we did was stand outside. Did anyone else notice theres like a bed next to the stage though?

The tree branches are in the shape of a heart! I know; it's a little silly that that's the first thing I noticed.

they really got discarded? the records? ugh that is soooo stupid like a comment i read above the records of people related should get the records if they don't want them make an exhibit on it lots of people would love to read/see what happened to these people and what happened in the asylums. i would like to go visit one but most have been demolished.

Motts; Live in Weston, WV and we have an old state hospital here in town. Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum. It sat vacant for years, but now they are finally doing some restoration, and they also do tours. I was just wondering if you have ever been there?
