Lens

Love it-notice the optional lens bracket supporting the extra length (and weight) of the lens. Must have been quite a throw from the booth to the screen!

Projector House

Great shot-the booth had to have been a later addition since movies had not yet been invented when the place was built. Even much later, when huge movie palaces wher being built, there were times when a theater was underway and they planned for everything but a projection booth! You'd have to add it anyway you could.

Arc Lamp

How long would the rods burn? It depended on the amperage used for the lamphouse, type of carbons used, etc. but you could setup for a 6,000 foot reel with an hour's running time. All of the installations here are for 2,000 foot reels so you would change over every 20 minutes. I handled carbon arc projection, and you would try to leave about 5% burning time available at the beginning so you could give the rods a chance to "burn in" before opening the douser-otherwise you might have flicker on the screen.
