Another case of nature taking over. I don't understand why people just up and leave? I worked at a ladies clothing store in downtown Albany called "Sherry's" for many many years and since that business when belly up, the building's upper floors are just left. The ground floors are rented as small convenience type stores, but the three upper floors still have all of Sherry's old fixtures. Back in the 1980's I had the opportunity to go through and purchase some of the items from the then owner. What memories that brought back but was also very sad. email any thought or memories of Sherry's to eldokid@aol.com Thanks!! LOVE THIS SITE!!

This is one place I would have definitely look at what was left. Papers, notes, even booting up the computer to see what was on it. Cool - looks like everyone went out for a cigarette and didn't come back. Very eerie.

When my doctors office closed and I demanded my files they refused and told me they would be archived in boxes and stored somewhere. YEAH RIGHT - THIS is what it would have ended up as. I put up the biggest stink they ever say and eventually got my records, all 285 pages but had to pay for them. This is a shame. I would love to go through this place and somehow archive all this history.

I would have been there for WEEKS because my curiousity would have made me go through each and every box. And probably read every document inside. This is history to me and extremely interesting.

I just came across this site and can't tear myself away. This shot is particularly moving. Why doesn't someone step up and try to save places like this? Believe me, if I had the funds and means to, I would love to purchase a place like this. Heck, I'd move in and live in it!!
