It sads me that some people not know tru behind patients and staff in mental facilities. The patients are real and they have feelings. and the staff are real and they have feelings. I myself am a mental patient and have go into a mental hospital this come week. I do not deem myself crazy nor demented. I am a normal person, only suffere from severe anxiety and depression that can cause me self-injury. It hurts me when some people belittle the staff and the patients. We are very real and human. I hope this makes sense, and if not, forgive me.

I like this room. Has feeling. Looked to be sunny and bright in its hayday. Maybe it could have been for special visitors, like special doctors and they needed place to stay while visiting instead of have pay roam and board at a motel or bed and breakfast. Just a thought.

And Mottts I am sincerely hooked to your site. I have tried just this morning to visit others of abandoned places, and none can hold the candle to yours. Yours is awesome and you give details of every pic you make. That makes me understand more about the pic. Thanks much.

This tease...if its called a "cat walk" where is the cat that walks it? I know what it is, but it so weird how some things have names. This makes me think of the Titanic for some reason...mayube because of the giant boiler rooms on the ship.

What is the difference between an exam room and a treatment room? When I was committed to the state psychiatric hospital back in 2004, I had to be frisked and also some device rolled over my body, and then I was led into the looked like a dcotor's exam room, and I had to strip, get in the shower, bath with this medicated soap and shampoo, and then I had to be examined by this female doctor. Afterwards I had to wear mint green uniforms with the hospital logo on the back. To this day I have vivid memories of that exam or treatment room. So what is the difference? Thanks.

I am curious, are there no any mold spores in these old buildings? Are do these things even get into these builidngs. I know a family that had to move and have some kind of bathing treatment because of these mold spores.

Y'all excuse how I write, my word structure and spelling, as I am profound deaf. However, where I live, deep in the southwest of Georgia, we have bats that would inhabit old adandoned buildings, and wondering if maybe Motts or any other have ever ran up on bats hanging from the ceilings. Just wondering. That pile of stiff in middle of floor looks lik bat droppings.

I think what I see is, two adults, and three kids and one of the kids in wheelchair, walking toward the carnival that is depicted on the other wall, or same wall. It shows that even the girl in the wheelchair can have fun.

I do believe that is the picture of the horse I mentioned earlier. I think, and this is me, that at that time maybe the caregivers thought they were doing what they could to help the kids. This I think was to depict a carnival. It is sad though, the place standing alone and empty and no more children's voices to be heard. That, I think what gets me.

Oh, did anyone notice the picture of the red horse and carriage drawn on the wall to the right?

I can sure see a face in that frame. Looks like it could be female. Now that is freaky!

the restraints I was threatened with was leather and I would have been strapped to my bed. I did not like the idea of being restrained at all nor sent to the padded room or seclusion room. No way. I calmed down.

Please pardon my typoes. I am not well versed in my spelling or either my fingers too fast for the typing and hit wrong key. I guess since I speak with my hands, my hands have an attitude!
