What I wouldn't give for that first table. The others are ugly and...well...ugly, but that first one is nice.

That poor woman's life is what horror stories are made of. Slowly losing one's self to the callous actions of inept "experts", academically interested in the case with no concern for the person. Her torture and the ultimate destruction of her being over decades is just horrific, almost beyond imagining.

Seems kind of like those frozen cake boxes that had "Other side up" on the bottom now that it's too late and the frosting is all messed up...

If memory serves (saw a similar setup on TV a while back), the wort is pumped up through the middle and comes out that hole, and the agitators keep the yeast from forming a dense cake on the bottom of the tank by slowly churning around and around for the several days needed for fermentation.

I bet that fermentation tank just glowed when it was used in production and all polished up. It's worth a small fortune for the copper, but as a vintage fermentation tank it would be priceless...not that you are likely to get it out intact...

Oh, to be able to see it all running. Old machinery has to be one of my favourites...
