The light fixture reminds me of an old wagon wheel. Yuck. And LucieLou, I give you props for that door catch. :)

In my home town, there is a street with some of the most beautiful old homes on it, but the one that takes the cake for me has a large porch or what we would call today a 3 season room, with lots of these exact arched windows and they stopped at the bottom of the windows. It had ivy growing on it and it was white and facing south. I recreated it in a graphic design class. I even took the school bus that took that route so I could see it every day. When the dean asked me why I was taking the wrong bus, going down this street I said, "Because It is beautiful." He let me go on riding that bus. God Bless him. Motts, thanks for the memories you provoke in me.

Again Motts, you've taken me along on your shoulders, and I sincerely thank you for this gift, as I do look at it that way. My eyes open wide with awe and beauty with some of your shots and squint with thought wonder and amusement when I see others. But just so you know I have my own hefty tripod to defend myself with now, so we needn't use yours. I shall protect us both!! Merry Christmas and a Happy Healthy and Prosperous New Year, Mottsto you and your family!.

And the same to fellow posters who love Motts!! Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas fellow posters!

Shutters

Yep, gulliver, and goats nearly always have twins. They are great farm animals. Smart, sweet (most of the time) and they mow without pulling up the grass. The White House used them with one of the Presidents at one time. I can't remember, but maybe Teddy Roosevelt? Anyone?

That goat looks like she's gonna have her twins any second. Maybe that's why she's at the hospital?

I'm married to a boilerman and those things above the other lower faucets are inspection tags, half rotted away, looks like.

Wallpaper, pretty please.

Does anyone actually know if sun/air treatments actually worked for TB? My aunt Evelyn was in a TB hospital but I never asked her what it was like. Time to call her and ask. Anyone interested in what she says??

Lovely shot, too, btw.

Yes, MomPink, I want to travel that way too. Want to see what's around the corner. Graffiti makes me sad. . .and mad.

Good one, Paddy!

Motts, while you where there, did any fog or storms come up and engulf the place? On top of Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain Natl. Park a storm ROSE from below and started pelting us with sleet/snow. What an unnatural experience.

lol, Guliver. It never ceases to make me feel a little better when some of you sweethearts start joking around! Thank you.
Seems goats do a pretty even job of cropping the grass.

I agree LucieLou, I'd like to curl up in one of those windows too. Thank goodness we really don't have to fight for which one. They both have the same view. ;D
This shot makes me a little claustrophobic tho. Anyone else?

LOL, Larry D! Yep, When a goat's gotta go, a goat's gotta go.
I notice the one arched window opens to the inside. The architecht was ahead of his time. And those columns! mmmmbeautiful!

This shot make me nearly speechless. The lovely green near my feet, the spruce just yonder and then a sad abandoning fog blocking my view. Motts, did you check out the shrine??

You weren't kidding when you named this particular site "High Altitude." The ceilings are so high you'd have to aclimate to the lack of oxygen up there! :o ) No soap dispensers so far, too bad.

Note to self: Remember that archway when we get to our next remodel! Love it.
