Ambulance stretchers all have straps that go around the chest, waist, and legs of the patient. Their function is the same as a seat belt in a car; to protect the patient in the event of an accident.

QuickSR and I agree. Perhaps "sterilize" was too strong a word. Disinfect and exterminate (bugs, not patients) is what I meant. Can I have my prize back now?

They also act as bumpers so those damn "Ambulance Drivers" (a derogatory term for paramedics) don't mar the walls with their stretchers.

As I look at these engines again I agree with Bill F. These were pulled from service. Motts, was the last business in here rehabbing old motors?

Singled Out

Bill

I noticed the cut hoses also. My first guess was that they had been "bench tested" connected to a shop radiator. If these were pulled after use they have been spray cleaned. I don't see any grease.

Isolation

Bill

My first appartment was painted like this. There was a piece of molding at about 7 feet up and everything above it was painted white. I think it's from the time when we were more dependent on natural light. The white upper part made the room brighter and the colored lower part reduced the glare.

These devices convert 3 pahse AC to dc. Looking at the device the section in the front is a dc generator, and the section in the rear is a 3 pahse AC motor. The whole machine could be replaved whtih a bridge rectifier {a solid state device] that you could hold in the palm of your hand.
