	Bill The tub was designed to be placed against a wall. The tile was put there to cover the exposed "wall side" of the tub. I guess it was easier to get patients in and out with access to both sides.

	Bill I think this is a steam room. Having the patient's head through the hole would prevent him from sufficating and allow staff to monitor him.
