I really enjoy riding my mountainbike throughout the old grounds. The views of the sound and of the surrounding area are amazing. They would be making a disastrous mistake if they develop this land. Long Island is far to built up already. There is not much open space remaining. This is a precious piece of property that should remain in the hands of NY State Parks Department in order for future generations to enjoy. It would continue to add to the quality of life of all Long Islanders if it were to remain in their hands.
