It is based on the "echelon plan", which is a specific arrangement of wards, offices and services within easy reach of each other by a network of interconnecting corridors. Villas were constructed around the main hospital building as accommodation blocks between 1910 and 1935. Most of the buildings are in Neo Georgian style, with few architectural embellishments as a rule.

"All photographs are from digital cameras; most are from a Canon 300D Rebel, some of the older photos and infrared shots were taken with a Sony F-707. I retouch the brightness and contrast and sometimes the color in post processing (as most are RAW files)."

I hope you don't mind that we changed your name to the first one you typed in so people could see that ALL the information was from the same person who obviously knows his or her stuff. One reader became confused, not knowing that you were from Europe, and when you used random letters as a name s/he apparently thought something s/he shouldn't have. In truth we are VERY appreciative of your information.

Please continue to contribute to this site. It's information like yours that helps enrich the value of these photos and better educates us all.
