My second guess is tiny robot explorers...

They will get a taste of their own mortaility and it will scare the cool out of them. They will be shocked and apauled at the last of repsect the younger generations have for their things. So is the cycle of life. Who knows maybe one of these asshats will be posting a Lynne style rant 30 years from now. We could only be so lucky that a little piece of Lynne passes to the next generation =)

A few years too late, "the cup's" plant friends show up to bust him loose. Only to find he hung himself with his buddy "toast"...

The toast was obviously institutionalized and couldn't handle being set free so it talked its friend 'the cup" into a double suicide.

was the door intact? Maybe so one ran at the door when it was closed, crashed thru, it and then road the door down to the next floor... Maybe I read too much into it =P

Not to mention wicker would be near impossible to clean.

Why is it these always seem to look good? The company that made these must be the same company that makes the black/orange boxes for planes.

What else was in that little room with bigger part of the marble table? Might it have been some kind of storage closet and the cut out was for passing towels to pacients?

Its always funny, when you see a shot of something in good shape, some looter always posts asking where it is. Greed gotta love it... =/

It was a slab tub, used to bath pacients that would be hard to lift in and out of a regular tub. These style of tubs are also popular with places that groom dogs. Really you people need to get out more. At least no one suggested it was morge equipment this time...

I see orbs/ghosts, and this was obviously a shock therepy room where they would burn cat hair before bring pacients in, just to make it that much more horrible. The cats where kept in drawers and never fed and often died in the cabnets. Yes that is a soap dispensor not a light fixture...

Now that we have it out of our systems, we can move on to making useful posts =)

Motts also posted an explantion of "why green". It involved a complex set of chemical reactions that made the paint easy to clean and resliiant stain and scrubbing.

I can't tell because I am not there, but did that brick crumble because of vandals or because of rot? If its by the hands of vandals then this place could be left standing for a few more years, provided the vandals don't have at it...

Ok! Enough with the "I see ghosts" posts. Motts is obviously using long exposure times and using his flashlight to show you as much as the hallway as he can. The long exposure time allows him to more or less paint the place in light alittle at a time while the camera takes a really long snap shot of the hall way. The reason the rest of the hall is not blurry is because it is not moving... Because he is unable to light the entire place all at once he uses this tenique MANY times in dark places. Get used to it.... and stop looking for ghosts.

My guess is, that they turned this room into an impormtue shower/bathroom. They left the stairs there for one of two reasons I can think of.
1) It offered some kind stablity for a fairly mobile pacient to cling to while waiting to get into the shower. It also might have provided some kind of PT. Warm water loosens up muscles and having the stairs there they might have walked them a few times to help keep limber.
2) Since this is a make shift bathroom they where too cheap to remove the stairs. It costs money to rip things out . Why spend money to rip something out the pacients don't care if it stays or goes?
